Grand Baie – The Tourism Capital Of Mauritius Featuring Some Splendid Holiday Resorts

Another popular Northern resort area in Mauritius – in fact tourism in Grand Baie has simply exploded over the past few years and there are a huge number of resorts, restaurants and people concentrated in this Northern region of Mauritius.

Similar to Trou Aux Biches, Grand Baie is well known for the wealth of water sports on offer.

If you can then take a ride in one of the “mini yellow submarines” (semisubmersibles) which takes you deep into the waters where you can view the coral and marine life in a very unique way. This is a great experience but expect to pay up to $100 per ticked for an hours ride.

As you may expect, there are the usual offering of Deep Sea Fishing, and Diving. You can even take an undersea walk – offered on Royal Rd where you amble along the ocean floor sporting a diving helmet. Great experience if you have the nerve.
